Looking for a laid-back outdoor escape with the kids in Devon? Come pitch up at Cove Camping, right in the heart of the stunning South Devon National Landscape. We’re a chilled-out, family- and dog-friendly pop-up campsite, just 15 minutes from Kingsbridge and a short 5-minute wander to the lovely beaches of Hope Cove.
Set on a peaceful working farm (yep, your neighbours are our sheep!), our small site offers spacious pitches and simple, eco-friendly facilities. You’ll find compost loos, hot showers, a washing-up area, recycling, and a fresh water tap – everything you need without the fuss.
From your pitch (heads up – the field’s got a bit of a slope), it’s easy to explore this beautiful corner of Devon. Salcombe’s just a 10-minute drive away, the South West Coast Path is practically on your doorstep, and Hope Cove is perfect for beach days, pub lunches, and exploring the village vibes.
We’re all about the views here; especially the breathtaking sunsets! Just a heads-up: the scenery comes with a touch of exposure to the elements. Be sure to pack the essentials to keep comfortable, no matter the weather.

Say hello to Alice and Rich! We’re full-time farmers who pop our camping hats on in the summer. We love our livestock, the land and doing our bit to preserve its beauty. With three little girls in tow, life’s busy but full of joy! We love how laid-back our family friendly site is and hope it gives you the perfect spot to unwind and take a well-earned breather. The site’s unmanned for the majority of the time, but you’ll receive all the info you need before you arrive, and will see Alice pop in throughout the day keeping everything clean and tidy. Please note
- Due to the hot dry weather, we are temporarly banning campfires, including firepits. This is for everyone's safety.
- We do not allocate pitch spaces. If you are a group or have a particular pitch preference, we advise you to arrive at the check-in time of 11am.
- Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
- Your dog must be tattooed or microchipped.
- Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
- Motorhomes, camper vans, tents and tent trailers accepted (no touring caravans).
- Please note that the toilet/shower facilities are unisex.
- Dogs must be kept on leads at all times.
- Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
- Disposable barbecues are not allowed on site.
